This is the palm tree that saved my life. James, Nevaeh, Bodin, and I were going back to our resort after spending a little time at Kami, BJ, and Kyle's place. We needed to cross a 4 lane road to get to the bus stop. Being in Mexico is not a good place for handicapped or strollers. None of the curbs have any spots for getting down. We made it across the first two lanes and waited at the median for a time to cross. A van stopped in one of the lanes and flagged us across. James and Nevaeh took off and I had the stroller that I had to lift down the curb. When I looked up, there was a van coming from I don't know where. The speed limit is 70km along this road and they all drive faster than that. I hopped out of the way of him. It was such slow motion for me when he swerved out of the way of us. I can remember plain as day the inches that were between us. I keep seeing it over and over in mind still and can not get it out. James looked back after he crossed with Nevaeh and saw it coming but had no time to yell at me to watch out. The driver took the curve and hit this palm tree. It just about fell into the oncoming traffic lanes and he just about ended up there too. The ambulance came and took him away to get check out. We were told he is OK. The police were there right away to get pictures of it and us. It was frightening being in a foreign country and not knowing what they were all saying to each other. We were pretty shooken up after that and did not leave our resort the remaining vacation.

Praise God that he was protecting all of you!! I got goosebumps just reading about it again. So glad you all had a wonderful time and your pictures are priceless-love the one of Nevaeh with her sunglasses up close by the pool.
